Closet Re-do

Before we did our bedroom, Nick re-did our closet.

Our closet is probably the only room in the house that we never painted. When we bought the house, most of it was this color yellow.

I know it is messy. This picture is before I did some organizing.

I've also bought some cuter shoes since then.

In the picture above it is a little cleaner, but it is still very yellow.

Now, after some tearing down shelves, paint, ripping up carpet, scraping ceilings, putting in can lights and crown molding, and shelf building, it looks like this....

Again, Nick did it all buy himself.

We still haven't decided what to put on the floor. We are thinking about some tile. Suggestions are welcome.

We used to to enter one at a time, and now we can both fit in there at the same time.

I couldn't resist the picture below. It was taken back in July or August.

And now with clothes.

Nick still wants to hang his ties.

These baskets hold socks and underwear. This allowed us to move the big dresser out of our room. My exercise clothes and pajamas are on some of the shelves too. It is so nice to be able to get completely dressed in the closet.  I ordered the baskets from Pottery Barn.

In the picture below you can see the shelves inside the door is where I keep all of my toiletries, extra toilet paper, and towels.

I've got one talented husband, and I'm so thankful. We've thoroughly enjoyed our new room and closet.
