10 Years

Last night Nick and I were talking about how long we've known each other. We have known each other for 10 years! Ten years! We both agreed that it didn't seem that long. We have been married for five of those years. We were also trying to think about what we did for those three married years before Millie was born.

The Auburn/Mississippi State game is the anniversary of when we met. That was last weekend. We met our freshmen year of college in Starkville. A high school friend of mine (she went to State) introduced us at a tailgate. Nick asked for my number. I didn't hear from him until a few weeks later. He called me on his birthday. For the record, that was the fall of 2004, the year Auburn went undefeated and didn't go to the National Championship game. It was a fun first football season.

I can't find any good pictures from fall 2004, so here is one from 2005. This may have been the Iron Bowl. I'm not sure why I'm wearing a turtle neck and coat, and Nick is wearing a short sleeve shirt.

And here we are now. This was the weekend of the Mississippi State game. Not very flattering of me or Millie, but I had to document this anniversary.

I love you Nick! I'm so glad you called me. I can't wait to see where we are in another 10 years!
