Retraction

So I made a mistake. The math teacher miscounted. Nick and I have known each other for nine years, not ten like I mentioned last time. We had been talking about our ten year high school reunion that would happen next year. Then we realized that would mean we have been together for ten years. Next year will be ten years, not this year. Then in my mind I thought we were talking about this year, and I blogged about it. I know that nobody would ever really know the truth, so I could have kept quiet about my miscalculation, but I had to get the truth out there.

In my defense I have been a bit sleep deprived lately.

So next year I'll rewrite about knowing each other for ten years. Or maybe I'll just re-post the same blog post I wrote the other day.

To distract you from my counting mistake, I'll share some pictures from the ball we went to last night. We had a blast. We danced and visited with friends. I felt like a part of society again after being at home in the newborn phase of life.
Millie wanted to be in the picture in theory. When we actually took the picture, she wouldn't cooperate.
And I hate to leave this guy out. I tried to catch a smile.
At his one month check up Thursday, he weighed 12 pounds. I'm thankful for a healthy boy, but it is sad that he can't wear sweet newborn clothes for much longer.

  1. Great photos and what a fun party! I especially love the one where Millie is begging to be picked up. She didn't want to miss out, did she? And James is too, too cute! I really, really want to meet him. I don't know when I'll be able to get home, but I'm going to try to find a time before too long.
